Jobs & bookings

Every lead becomes a job you can track from first message to closed-out work — with the customer's actual request, photos and all.

The Jobs tab

Each card is one job, built for scanning: the trade, the customer, their own words, photo thumbnails they attached, their city, and their requested timing — plus when the lead arrived, top-right on every card. Tap a card and the full ticket opens in a side drawer: every intake question Thumbtack asked them, their note, full-size photos, and the job's booking.

How booking works

Your assistant only ever offers times that are genuinely open — your working hours from Settings, minus visits already booked. It never invents availability. When a customer agrees on a concrete time, the visit is booked as a real record, the customer gets a truthful confirmation, and you get a text. If the customer asks to move or cancel, the assistant moves or cancels the same booking — never a duplicate.

You can also book by hand: from a job card, the drawer, or the Bookings tab. Bookings shows your visits as a list, week, or month.

Your hours

Set your working days and hours in Settings → Your hours. This is the source of truth the assistant schedules from — if a day is off, nothing gets offered on it.

Wrapping up a job

When the work's done, open the job and use Wrap up & close. The fastest way is the voice note: hit record and say what happened — Capture transcribes it into the job's closing notes. Two spoken commands are understood: "close it out" stages the job for closing, and "send them a review" queues a review request. Nothing closes by itself — you always press the button.

Closed jobs keep their history, and a customer who comes back starts a fresh job on the same conversation — reopen the old one any time if the same work resumes.

"Yours to keep"

Thumbtack conversations run through Thumbtack's masked numbers. When a customer shares their real phone number, Capture saves it to their contact — marked "yours to keep" — so the relationship belongs to you, not the marketplace. After a visit is booked, the assistant asks once, politely, for the best day-of-visit number; it never pushes.
